Cleft Care

I was assigned to take an existing company or organization and redesign their logo. The new logo had to have an animal as a part of it. I chose the organization Operation Smile, which specializes in giving free medical operations to people living in third world countries who were born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate.

I went with a butterfly because the whole idea behind Operation Smile revolved around metamorphosis. I also used a butterfly because a majority of their patients are young children. Seeing a friendly butterfly could help ease their worries. I did end up renaming the organization to Cleft Care because Operation Smile was deemed too broad and unspecific.
